About Me
Having gained a Bachelor of Education and a Certificate and
Qualification in Social Work, as a primary / secondary teacher I taught
abroad for a few years before practising as a social worker in Scotland.
In 1996 I gained a Post-Graduate Diploma in Counselling and set
up a private practice as a counsellor soon after.I am trained in a number
of approaches with an emphasis on the person-centred style of working.
I am a member of Person-Centered Therapy, Scotland. Since then I have
become a qualified Supervisor and a BACP and COSCA Accredited
Counsellor and a COSCA accredited trainer.
My History
I have built up a considerable private practice and also work for
several Employee Assistance Programmes in the Voluntary and Corporate
sectors both as a Supervisor and a Counsellor. I have several years
experience as a trainer on the COSCA Certificate Course in Counselling
Skills and facilitate on the Interface COSCA validated Diploma Course
in Counselling.
Interface
I am currently the Director of Interface Training Limited, a company I have established to provide specialist training to both organisations and individuals. I have facilitated many other workshops and training days on a variety of
topics.I am on the UK Register of Counsellors and Chairperson of the
Register of Trainers Accreditation Panel.
